Esteettömyys ja aistiympäristö

Haluamme tarjota tapahtumaan osallistuville mahdollisimman kattavasti tietoa tapahtumapaikkojen esteettömyydestä ja aistiympäristöstä ennakkoon. Näin voit tutustua tiloihin etukäteen ja arvioida, miten ne soveltuvat omiin tarpeisiisi.

Tapahtumatilana toimii Desibeli-yöravintola sekä Utopia- Maailmanlopun ravintola. Tilojen välillä on eroja niin fyysisessä esteettömyydessä kuin ääni- ja valoympäristössä.

Utopia – alakerta

Liikkuminen ja tilat

• Utopian alakerrassa on istumapaikkoja sekä pöytiä, joita voi käyttää myös laskutasona.

• Tilassa on mattoja.

• Alakerran WC-tiloihin johtavat ovet ovat kapeita.

• WC-tilojen yksittäisissä kopeissa on omat käsienpesualtaat.

• Lattiassa on muutamia kynnyksiä, joiden korkeus on alle 5 cm.

Ääniympäristö

• Utopian musiikki soi tavanomaisena iltana maltillisella voimakkuudella.

• Baaritiskin yläpuolella sijaitsee kaiuttimia, jotka suuntaavat ääntä tasaisesti eri puolille tilaa.

• Baaritiskiltä kuuluu myös työskentelystä aiheutuvia ääniä, kuten lasien kilinää ja shakerin ääntä.

• Tilassa kuuluu myös vaihtelevasti ihmisten puhetta ja liikkumisen ääniä.

• Narikasta voi kantautua ääniä ja liikettä tilan puolelle.

• Kadulta ei kuulu merkittävästi ääniä sisätiloihin.

• Ulko-ovesta katsottuna vasemmalla sijaitsee parvi, jonka alla on istumapaikkoja. Alue saattaa olla hieman muuta tilaa rauhallisempi musiikin voimakkuuden suhteen.

 Jos olet herkkä äänille, suosittelemme ottamaan mukaan korvatulpat tai kuulokkeet!

Valaistus ja visuaalinen ympäristö

• Utopian valaistus on pääosin lämminsävyinen, eikä alakerrassa käytetä nopeasti vilkkuvia valoja.

• Katon valaistuksen väri vaihtuu, mutta valo ei vilku.

• Terassin viereisellä seinustalla on kirkas LED-/neonkyltti (Don't Panic).

• Sisustuksessa on käytetty värejä, pääosin murrettuja sävyjä.

Terassi

• Terassille kulku Utopian sisätilojen kautta.

• Terassin ovi on kapea, arviolta noin 100–120 cm leveä.

• Terassilta sisätiloihin johtaa kolme jyrkkää ja kapeaa porrasta. Ulkopuolella on lisäksi kaksi matalampaa askelmaa ennen ovelle saapumista. Portaissa ei ole kaidetta.

• Henkilökunta ja järjestyksenvalvojat ovat valmiita avustamaan tarvittaessa terassilta sisätiloihin siirtymisessä.

Desibeli – yläkerta

Liikkuminen ja tilat

• Desibeli sijaitsee rakennuksen yläkerrassa, jonne kuljetaan jyrkkiä portaita pitkin.

• Portaissa on kapea kaide, eikä yläkertaan ole hissiä.

• Yläkerrassa on istumapaikkoja ja pöytiä, joita voi käyttää myös laskutasona.

• Desibelin tanssilattia on melko pieni.

• Ennen WC-tiloja vasemmalla sijaitsee nurkkaus, jossa on vähemmän läpikulkua. Alue voi tarjota hieman rauhallisemman paikan oleskeluun, mutta tila on ahdas.

• WC-tilat eivät ole esteettömät. WC-kopeissa ei ole erillisiä käsienpesualtaita.

Ääniympäristö

• Desibelissä musiikki soi kovalla voimakkuudella.

• Tilassa kuuluu musiikin lisäksi ihmisten puhetta ja liikkumisen ääniä sekä baaritiskiltä kantautuvia ääniä.

• Yläkerran eteistila voi olla ääni- ja valoärsykkeiltään muuta yläkertaa rauhallisempi. Eteisessä sijaitsee kuitenkin myös baaritiski, josta kantautuu ääniä.

• Tilassa saattaa olla käytössä savukone.

Valaistus ja visuaalinen ympäristö

• Desibelin yläkerrassa käytetään vilkkuvia valoja.

• Yläkerran eteistilassa vilkkuvat valot eivät ole yhtä voimakkaita kuin muualla tilassa.

Yhteenvetona

Alakerta (Utopia) on aistiympäristöltään yläkertaa(Desibeli) rauhallisempi. Desibelissä musiikki on voimakkaampaa ja käytössä on vilkkuvia valoja.

 Haluamme kertoa tapahtumapaikkojen olosuhteista avoimesti, jotta jokainen voi arvioida omista lähtökohdistaan, millaiset tilat ja ympäristö sopivat itselle parhaiten.

Accessibility and Sensory Environment

We want to provide event participants with as much information as possible in advance about the accessibility and sensory environment of the venues. This allows you to familiarize yourself with the spaces beforehand and assess how well they suit your individual needs.

The event will take place at Desibeli Nightclub and Utopia. The venues differ in both physical accessibility and their sound and lighting environments.

Utopia – Ground Floor

Mobility and Facilities

  • There are seating areas and tables that can also be used as work or support surfaces.

  • The space contains carpets/rugs.

  • The doors leading to the ground-floor restroom facilities are narrow.

  • Individual restroom stalls have their own sinks.

  • There are a few thresholds in the flooring, all less than 5 cm (2 inches) high.

Sound Environment

  • On a typical evening, music at Utopia is played at a moderate volume.

  • Speakers are located above the bar, distributing sound evenly throughout the space.

  • Sounds from bar operations can also be heard, such as clinking glasses and cocktail shaker noise.

  • Various levels of conversation and movement-related sounds are present in the venue.

  • Noise and movement from the cloakroom may carry into the main space.

  • Significant street noise is generally not audible indoors.

  • To the left of the entrance is a mezzanine area with seating underneath. This area may be slightly quieter than the rest of the venue in terms of music volume.

If you are sensitive to sound, we recommend bringing earplugs or headphones.

Lighting and Visual Environment

  • The lighting is primarily warm-toned, and no rapidly flashing lights are used on the ground floor.

  • The ceiling lighting changes color, but it does not flash.

  • There is a bright LED/neon sign ("Don't Panic") on the wall next to the terrace.

  • The interior design includes colors, mainly in muted tones.

Terrace

  • The terrace is accessed through Utopia's indoor space.

  • The terrace door is narrow, approximately 100-120 cm (39-47 inches) wide.

  • There are three steep, narrow steps leading from the terrace into the indoor space. In addition, there are two lower steps outside before reaching the door.

  • There is no handrail on the stairs.

  • Staff and security personnel are available to assist with moving between the terrace and the indoor space if needed.

Desibeli – Upper Floor

Mobility and Facilities

  • Desibeli is located on the upper floor of the building and is accessed via a steep staircase.

  • The stairs have a narrow handrail, and there is no elevator access to the upper floor.

  • The upper floor contains seating and tables that can also be used as support surfaces.

  • The dance floor is relatively small.

  • Before the restrooms, there is a corner area on the left with less foot traffic. This may provide a somewhat quieter place to stay, although the space is narrow.

  • The restrooms are not accessible. The toilet stalls do not have separate sinks.

Sound Environment

  • Music at Desibeli is played at a high volume.

  • In addition to music, visitors will hear conversations, movement-related sounds, and noise coming from the bar area.

  • The entrance/lobby area on the upper floor may be calmer in terms of sound and lighting than the rest of the floor. However, there is also a bar counter in this area that generates noise.

  • A smoke machine may be in use.

Lighting and Visual Environment

  • Flashing lights are used on the upper floor.

  • Flashing lights in the entrance/lobby area are less intense than in the rest of the venue.

Summary

The ground floor (Utopia) offers a calmer sensory environment than the upper floor (Desibeli). Music is louder in Desibeli, and flashing lights are used there.

We want to provide transparent information about the venue conditions so that everyone can assess for themselves which spaces and environments are best suited to their needs.
